EDUCATION AND TRAINING
He graduated from the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University in 1975, where he specialised in cinema, visual arts, culture and communication. He is also an expert on marketing communication.

CAREER
A Hungarian and Russian language teacher by profession, he is also a writer, scriptwriter and translator (English, Russian). He reads cinema history and theory and aspects of contemporary culture at various universities. Since 1978, he regularly lectures on culture theory, marketing and mass culture theory, film history and communication theory at several universities and colleges. In the 1980s, he worked at the Hungarian Film Institute as a scientific researcher of films and as director of the National Hungarian Film Archive. He has served as the Head of the Film Department of the Hungarian Ministry of Culture. He has been working in the marketing field since 1991, generally in the role of creative director. He has written over one hundred commercial screenplays. Since 1994, he has served as chief editor of several fashion, design and contemporary art publications (Atrium, Tér És Rend, Stílus Magazin). He has also held the role of Creative Director at Grant Agency and Artistic Director at Werk Academy since 2006.

EXHIBITIONS AND PUBLICATIONS
András Réz is a unique phenomenon. This may be the reason why the Hungarian media interviews him regularly as an opinion leader and he is often invited to take part in shows and to moderate events. He also works as a writer, translator and screenwriter. He has published 3 essay books (Válogatott szorongásaim; Mozibubus; Még mindig szorongok), two novels (Orr; Köldök), a short novel and a play. He has translated over 30 children’s books from English and Russian into Hungarian. About 20 television series and shows have been produced from his scripts.

Magyar Köztársasági Arany Érdemkereszt (Hungarian national award) for his cultural activities Fehér Rózsa (White Rose Award) for public education.
