W lux is an illuminating water carafe that combines LED light source with different types of material, in order to provide unique atmosphere and glow. It is designed to perform two functions, one as a glass jug and another one as ambient lighting. Since a level of water poured into the carafe is never the same, the product itself is constantly changing.

It consists of 3 main parts - a ceramic lid with aluminium detail, a bottle made of clear and frosted glass, as well as aluminium base with rechargeable LED panel. The glass carafe is 300mm high, while the base has a diameter of 84mm. Two of them are connected with the help of a magnet. The base has three LED diodes indicating a level of the battery that can be easily charged via mirco USB port on the back. The light is switched on and off by tapping the surface of the base.

Each element of the W lux and its combination of materials, is well thought out. Aluminium is chosen for the base as a perfect holder of LED panel. The carafe made of glass is transparent and ideal for any type of liquid, while frosted glass is used to conceal the light source, hence avoid glare. On the other hand, ceramic lid carries a rather sculptural context with it. It has a detail in form of an aluminium plate, which brings the product together into one consistent whole.
