The dome is designed to emphasize an ideal of Zepter company - the continuous prosperity and synergy of a healthy body and a healthy spirit.

In the healthy body, the bones are like strong steel elements and spirit symbolize a pure and transparent glass. Decorative dome is crafted from triangular thin steel frames with glass panels converging at the top of the dome in order to express a culmination of power and sublimity.

The conceptual solution is inspired by the transforming possibilities of stylised letter Z to create lively, rhythmic and striking dome. The official symbol of Zepter International is emphasized in the form of curved non-transparent and perforated brise-soleil derived and connected to the unique steel structure.

During the day, the brise-soleil generates shadows in interior space in the shape of a stylised letter Z. The white decorative LED lights are placed below brise-soleil and highlights stylised letter Z both from inside and outside space during the night-time.

In that way, the dome represents the idea of unity and completeness, unites the different structural elements under a single, encompassing entity and creates refined illumination reflecting its visual impact.
Technique and materials:
The proposed structure is a gridshell dome, characterized by a lattice-like steel framework that distributes loads efficiently.

This feature enables the structure to span a distance of six meters while also serving as minimally intrusive support for glazing. The profiles are connected at the nodes, providing sturdy support for the structure. The structure is covered by double-glazed glass panels, offering both transparency and insulation.

The silicone-pointed glazing system enables seamless coverage of curved surfaces, achieving a partially flush configuration that promotes quicker runoff of water. The metal brise-soleil are attached to the structure using spacers, which elevate them above the glass surface to facilitate free water runoff.

These brise-soleil are perforated, crafted from stainless steel and finished with a white powder coating to create a contrasting aesthetic against the supporting structure.
