ArtZept 2020

Before I become a designer, I have graduated in Landscape Architecture, and for almost 40 years I try not to lose strings of my first passion. This competition I see as a chance to entwine those two fields of interest, by designing Ivy for the wall.

Principle is pure, simple. I have managed to design plant, Ivy, that goes from 2d sheets of aluminum into 3d space installation, without waste of material. I had Escher and optical illusions movement in mind crating this piece.

Aluminum is great outdoor material, it gets shady green and smoky blue patina over time, and will resemble natural Ivy more and more over time.

Shape of the plant is here given raw, like in nature, but beyond reach of public. Could be changed if needed.

Mrs Madlena Zepter may be building new complex, but as this is not her first project in Arts and Culture, I feel that I should honour her effort by reminding public that she is with us for some time, and quickly cultivate something that grows for years, decorating new house like mature, respected and familiar one.
