He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in 1974 and then completed his two-year postgraduate studies in product design.
His professional career as an independent artist started in 1975, and two years later in 1977 he became member of the Serbian Association of Applied Arts, Artists and Designers (ULUPUDS). He has worked at the Faculty of Applied Arts of the University of Arts in Belgrade since 1981, becoming a full professor of industrial design in 1998. From 1989 to 1998, he was Head of the Department of Industrial Design, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts from 1994 to 1996 and Vice-Chancellor from 2004 to 2009. His focus is on industrial design of high serial products. He is also the author of numerous projects, patents and models such as the seat for sports facilities, HINS-EVAL, Novi Sad 1980; kitchen furniture, FOZ, Zagubica, 1980; Electric coffee grinder, FEP, Donji Milanovac, 1989; the device for additional heating of radiator, CINI, Cacak, 1992; electrical installation material, NOPAL, Backa Palanka, 2000. and others. Among his major projects there is the lamp with aluminumair storage batteries, ICTM, Belgrade & CLEHIT-BAN, Sofia, 1984-1989 and the design of the excavator BGH 250 NLC, IMK 14 October, Krusevac, 2002-2005. He has been on numerous industrial design juries and has organized many exhibitions and competitions in industrial design. He was the president of the Organizing Committee and main organizer of the “2nd Danube’s Design Conference” held in Belgrade in 2005, the first Euro-regional gathering of industrial designers in Serbia which brought together 155 participants from 12 countries.
He has been exhibiting his works at national and international design exhibitions since 1975. Since 1979 he has been participating in professional and academic conferences, writing and publishing papers in the field of design such as:

Competitions for the real world, “2nd Danube’s Design Conference”, Belgrade, Serbia, 2005; The new program of education of industrial designers at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Conference “Design without Borders”, Sofia, 2009.
He was awarded numerous international awards for the design, promotion and recognition of industrial design and for his contribution to education in the arts.
